Sera Gamble’s first foray into television was an unconventional one: she was a screenwriter finalist on the second season of HBO’s Project Greenlight. She then went on to write and produce Supernatural for its first seven seasons on The CW, rising to executive producer in season five. She also served as a staff writer on the ABC series Eyes and a writer/executive producer for The Magicians on Syfy. Most recently, Gamble served as writer and executive producer of NBC's Aquarius.

A first-generation American born in New York City, Gamble spent her early childhood in Cincinnati before moving to Redlands, California. She attended the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Gamble currently lives in Los Angeles, is a dog person and enjoys writing essays, poetry, and fiction. Two of her stories have been anthologized in the Best American Erotica series, and her work has appeared in journals such as Washington Square and on Nerve.
