General Questions

Q: Where is WGFestival 2019?

A: It’s at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study in Hollywood. Cross streets are Vine St., between Fountain Ave. and De Longpre Ave.

Q: Where can I buy passes?

A: Passes are now on sale at Eventbrite!

Q: Who can come to WGFestival 2019? Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

A: Almost anyone and everyone who has an interest in writing for the screen! WGFestival is open to the public, not just WGA members. However, due to the advanced nature of the discussions that take place at WGFestival, the Festival is an 18 and older event. Our networking reception is open to all passholders, but you must be 21 or older to receive a drink wristband.

Q: What should I bring?

A: A positive attitude, an inspired spirit, and something to write with and on. Laptops and tablets are cool, but some workshops may require actual handwriting. We’ll have a charging station in the Pickford lobby if you choose to bring an electronic device. Our food trucks accept cash and credit cards, but it’s also a good idea to bring water bottles and snacks.

Q: Will food be available?

A: Food trucks will be available on-site during each day’s lunch break. If you’d like other options, there are fast food and sit-down options along Vine St. and Sunset Blvd. There will also be plenty of food and drinks at the networking reception on Saturday at 5pm.

Q: Can I eat or drink inside WGFestival 2018?

A: No food or drinks are allowed inside the Linwood Dunn Theater. However, you may bring drinks and snacks into the workshop rooms.

Q: Can I go in and out of the Pickford Center throughout WGFestival?

A: Yes, but keep your badge close. You must wear your badge in order to regain entrance to the Pickford Center.
