Emily V. Gordon is a former therapist and current writer and producer based in Los Angeles. She is best known for co-writing The Big Sick, the semi-autobiographical film for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. She has written for shows including The Carmichael ShowAnother Period, and Crashing, as well as creating and producing three seasons of The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail for Comedy Central. Her writing has also been featured in The New York Times, Glamour, Variety, and GQ.
